Portage to Manitowoc, WI

Stats
Craig & Vikki:
Mileage - 128.4 miles
Climbing - 3,100 feet

Today, is our last day in Wisconsin as we depart tomorrow on the Badger Ferry to hit our home state of Michigan.  I love morning rides.  They are early enough that they are quiet, reflective times often with a breaking sun, rising mist, the birds bringing their songs to life and a quiet newness to the day.

This is the line to load our bags before getting on our bikes to depart.
As we left the hotel parking lot, another awesome old car.  The 'original' CUV - an El Camino

The Ladies - Rachel (Grand Fondo winner, and championship title retainer from TN), Lisa and Mary (both FL)
 Mist rising
We passed several Amish on their way to church, very friendly and waved to me too!

Lots of long rollers today too.

The monastery at the top of the hill in Cavalery, mile 78
 Our lunch stop, Fireman's Park
At mile 126 there was a ice cream shop that produced their own ice cream.  You are looking at mine.  My stomach was growling all day and yes, I was eating and dreaming of strawberry ice cream ALL day!  So, here it is along with "Shipwrecked" a vanilla ice cream with salted caramel and slivered almonds - Craig had " Scotcharoo"  butterscotch, rice crisps covered in chocolate and VanElephant Tracks -- YUM!
They call Cedar Crest ice cream the "Big Cow", I can see why!
HOly Moly!  "Sleep In"!?!?!?  What does that mean!?!?
So, what was in my pockets today?!  Some have been in my pocke for awhile, but i also had a granola bar, vitamin C packet and some of Lon's Mom's homemade cookies.  I am thinking these will be excellent with our morning coffee!
We are developing some super weird tan lines!!!  I wear jewelry and my road id, so....I guess this makes sense.  Please be aware that I re-apply sunscreen at least 5x/day!!
Whooaaa!!!
