Arrival - Bozeman

We arrived in Bozeman at about 10:30am, after about three hours of sleep last night.  We wound up going up town to The Bar Saturday night to grab dinner, you know because our fridge was EMPTY! :-)  It was the Bluegrass Festival at River's Edge Brewery so of course we had to go by there to say, "Hello" to friends. This was awesome!  I have a bit of anxiety when traveling ever since 2012, so it was great to have that connection and ability to see friends before we left.
We are incredibly luck to have my Dad - many of you know as Papadapolis, Papa Smurf or just Ron, he took us to the airport at 4:00am this morning and will be picking us up when we get to our destination in Michigan.  Hopefully, Marti will join him too!

Well, I was surprised to find out that i was upgraded to first class, sorry dear!!  I'm out of here!!  To enjoy unlimited water, more room and instant access to the bathroom.  Oh and maybe a little Mimosa to celebrate with!

So, I bring this hard case for my electronics, PAC allows you to keep a gear box or an electronics box, so Craig and I split.  I always get a giggle when i see people look at my case, I sooooo wish i had a fake hand cuff set to attach to my wrist!  I could be carrying the super secret egg salad recipe!!  ("What's up Tiger Lily?")  I laughed when there was this perfect inset in the ladies restroom!!
If you zoom in there is a canoeist on the river with the sunrise reflecting and "Tranquility" in the lower right corner.
The hotel had a free shuttle so we arranged for a pick up. As we were leaving the airport the shuttle driver received a call that there was another couple that needed picked up.  So, we circled back and picked up the sweetest old couple.  As we headed back to the hotel, I could sense a concern in her voice, then i heard her say, "that had our passports in it' so of course, I asked, "Did you lose something?" Sure enough, she said she had her folder with their itinerary, passports, etc. which was now missing.  They were actually on our flight, so I told the driver to turn around and started calling Delta and the airport, unfortunately, Delta was a 2 hour wait on hold and I couldn't get to an actual person at the terminal back aft Bozeman.  Once we got back, to the airport, they got out and it was all Craig could do to keep me in the van - I wanted to make sure they got back to the gate, as typically if the crew finds anything they can get it them.  I did see them later, they were with 'Road Scholars' a group of people that travel to learn. (awesome concept!)  She said that they did find it and the plane was about five minutes from heading back.  I was so thankful, it was just us on that bus and not other people that may not have been so patient!!

Arrived at the hotel, starving after about 11 hours since we left our house, so why not refuel with some lycopene, plus there's pickled asparagus!
 Gorgeous Flowers!
Yes those are mountains right outside our hotel!
Speaking of our hotel; I LOVE it - yep, it's a Best Western - but it is super clean, they were awesome about storing our bikes even though they arrived early.  PLUS!!!  Look at this - three lock system on our door!  They know me!  Haha!!  I love the security!
But wait there is more..... we needed to find some way to dispose of our bike boxes, call the front desk......they have cardboard recycling!  YEAY!!!!

Not only that, they take pets and have organic fertilizer.  So cool!
And for those that may be interested.....a Casino.....not us but, you know some may be....
Interesting hand painted vehicle in the parking lot
Our bikes arrived safely, we also go upgraded to a suite - How SWEET!  Lots of room to get the bikes together.  Craig was amazing and persevered through....I came in and collapsed on the bed and fell asleep.
To awaken to a completed bike!  Here is my girl, Thora, a custom Kent Erikson titanium - I tested her, ran her through her gears and adjusted my handlebars to ensure my mirror was picking up the right angle so I could see any traffic coming up behind me - mere seconds could save my life!
Yes, that's my name and my fabulous White Industry front hub in my favorite color purple!!

Here is Craig's phenomenal steel custom frame - the Waterford is READY!
We decided to head to downtown Bozeman and walk around, lots of shops but not a lot that where open.  We wound up eating at a yummy location - craft beers (Craig) and fusion drinks (Vikki) plus, locally sourced entrees!  Leland was our culinary expediter and a fabulous person too!!
This was my mushroom risotto, morels and porcine mushrooms, with Swiss chard, micro greens and pure deliciousness, even though Sue likes to tease me that's it's "just rice'.  Nah - uhhh!!
Hipster Bikes!  As heard on the streets of Bozeman - two guys are talking about meeting up 'tomorrow' aka Monday. "yeah, you know for food and beer".  Yes, for food and beer - why not??
